Change your menu and update every channel

This is the place to start for any menu change. It shows where to make the change, what updates by itself, and how to send the change to Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.

Where to change your menu

All menu editing happens under Management > Menu in the sidebar, not under Setup.

You want to…Go to
Add or edit categories, products, sizes and options (toppings, sauces, extras)Management > Menu > Menu Setup
Change a price, or switch an item, size or topping off for nowManagement > Menu > Quick Changes
Choose what each virtual brand sells and at what priceManagement > Menu > Virtual Brands > Brand menus
Set up deals and offersManagement > Menu > Promos & Deals

Setup > Menu > Settings holds your menu rules: which stores share the company menu, and whether stores may change prices or switch items off. It does not edit the menu itself. You'll find links to Quick Changes, Menu settings and Delivery platforms at the top of the Menu Setup page.

If your stores share a company menu

Most accounts have one company menu that every store uses. In that case:

  • Menu Setup changes the menu for every store on the company menu. If you have a store selected, a blue banner reminds you of this.
  • Quick Changes with a store selected changes that store only. Use it to change a price or take an item off at one store.
  • Staff who log in to a single store see Quick Changes only. Company owners and admins see Menu Setup as well.

See Company or Store Menus for how to give a store its own menu.

What updates by itself

You don't need to sync anything for your own channels. They pick up every change on their own:

ChannelWhen it updates
Website and appStraight away. Customers see the change the next time the menu loads.
POSWithin about a minute, once no order is open on it. Setup > In-Store > POS Terminals shows each POS terminal as Up to date in the Menu column.
KioskBetween orders, so a customer is never mid-order when the menu changes. Setup > In-Store > Kiosks shows each kiosk's menu status.
Kitchen DisplayNothing to do. The KDS shows orders, not your menu.

Sending changes to delivery apps

Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat get your menu through a delivery platform connection (our Delivery Platforms integration, Deliverect or UrbanPiper). They don't get every change by themselves.

Switching items off and on: automatic

When you switch an item, a size or a topping off in Quick Changes, delivery apps connected through Delivery Platforms stop selling it within moments. Switching it back on, or reaching the end time of a temporary switch-off, puts it back on sale there too. UrbanPiper gets the same for items and sizes, but not toppings, and a temporary switch-off stays off there until you switch the item back on.

Note: This only happens for switch-offs made in Quick Changes. If you switch an item off in Menu Setup, send your menu to the delivery apps afterwards.

Everything else: Send to delivery apps

New items, price changes, new names, images and option changes need sending. When your delivery apps are behind, an amber banner appears on Menu Setup, Quick Changes and Brand menus: Your delivery apps don't have your latest menu.

  1. Make your menu changes.
  2. Click Send to delivery apps. It's in the amber banner, and at the top of Menu Setup, Quick Changes and Brand menus.
  3. A message confirms your menu is on its way. Changes usually show on the delivery apps within a few minutes.

Send to delivery apps sends your menu to every platform you have connected: each Delivery Platforms menu (one per brand), Deliverect and UrbanPiper. With a store selected it sends that store's menu. With All Stores selected it sends the company's menus and every store on the company menu.

Note: For Delivery Platforms you also get an email for each upload, with "Successful" or "Failed" in the subject. If it failed, the email says which items need fixing.

Tip: The button only shows once a delivery platform is connected. To connect one, see the platform guides below.

You can still send to one platform at a time from Setup > Integrations (Upload Catalog on Delivery Platforms, Sync Products on Deliverect, Sync Menu on UrbanPiper).

Different prices on delivery apps

MyFoodFast keeps one price for each item, size and topping. That price is used on your POS, kiosk, website and app.

To charge more on Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Just Eat (for example to cover their commission), set up a virtual brand for the delivery apps and give items a brand price. See Setup Guide: Virtual Brands.

Common questions

I changed a price but Uber Eats still shows the old one. Price changes need sending. Click Send to delivery apps on Menu Setup or Quick Changes, then allow a few minutes.

I can't see Menu Setup. You're logged in to a store that uses the company menu, so you only have Quick Changes. Ask a company owner or admin to make the change, or to give your store its own menu.

I switched an item off but it's still showing on the POS. The POS updates once no order is open on it. Check the Menu column in Setup > In-Store > POS Terminals.
