What Quick Changes does
Quick Changes is a one-screen editor for making small, menu-wide updates fast — without opening every product individually. You can:
- Change prices on products and sizes
- Enable or disable products and sizes
- Temporarily disable an item for a set number of days, after which it comes back automatically
- Rename an attribute value (e.g. a size label) across every product that uses it
- Apply a change to many items at once using Bulk actions
Go to Setup > Menu > Quick Changes to open it.
Company view vs. store view
Quick Changes works in two modes depending on what you have selected in the top bar:
- Company view (no store selected) — changes are applied to the master menu. Every store that uses the company menu will see the update.
- Store view (a store with "Company Menu" enabled is selected) — changes only affect that store. The master menu stays untouched; the store gets its own override. A blue banner at the top confirms you're in Store Menu Overrides mode.
Note: Stores that run their own independent menu (not Company Menu) still use Quick Changes, but there's no override layer — edits write straight to the store's menu.
Searching the menu
Type into the search box at the top (e.g. 14", Large, or a product name). Only products that match — or products that contain a matching size — are shown, and within those products only the matching rows appear. Clear the search to see the full menu again.
Changing prices
- Find the product or size row.
- Type the new price into the Price column.
- Click Save Changes at the top right.
If nothing else was different, a small "Was £X.XX" caption shows underneath so you can see what you've changed before saving.
Enabling and disabling
Each row has an Enabled switch. Flip it off to disable the item; turn it back on to enable it. Click Save Changes to persist.
Temporarily disabling an item
In the Disable for column (visible only in Store view with Company Menu), click one of the presets — 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days. This does three things at once:
- Disables the item immediately.
- Marks the override as temporary.
- Schedules the re-enable time.
The row shows Re-enables Fri 25 Apr, 4:32 PM so you always know when the item will come back automatically. The item re-enables at the end of the window without any action from you.
To cancel early, click Clear in the same row — the item re-enables right away.
Note: Temporary disable only exists in Store view with Company Menu. The master menu has a permanent enable/disable only.
Bulk actions
When you type a search term, a Bulk actions button appears above the results if that search matches an attribute value (e.g. 14"). From the dropdown you can:
- Rename all matching — e.g. rename every
14"to12"in one action. A confirmation dialog asks you for the new name. - Disable all matching — turns every matching item off.
- Enable all matching — turns every matching item on.
- Temp-disable for 1 / 3 / 7 days — (Store view only) disables every match and schedules auto re-enable.
What a bulk action writes depends on which view you're in:
| View | Rename writes to… | Disable / Enable writes to… | Temp-disable? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Company | The attribute itself (affects every store on the company menu) | The attribute itself | Not available |
| Store (Company Menu) | A per-store override (the master menu is untouched) | A per-store override | Yes — 1/3/7 days, auto re-enables |
Resetting unsaved changes
Click Reset next to Save Changes to drop every edit you've made on the page since your last save. Already-saved changes aren't affected.
