Setup Guide: Sunmi Terminal with MyFoodFast POS

Applies to: Any Sunmi terminal supplied by MyFoodFast
Estimated setup time: 2–3 minutes
Skill level: Beginner

Note: This guide covers Sunmi terminals supplied by MyFoodFast, which arrive ready to use. For the full cross-device setup — including the web version and connecting printers and card readers — see Set up MyFoodFast POS.

📦 What's Included

Your Sunmi terminal is pre-configured and connected to our trusted partner account. That means:

  • The MyFoodFast POS app is pre-installed

  • It will auto-launch on startup

  • No technical setup is required from your side

Note: Using your own Sunmi device (not supplied by MyFoodFast)? The app won't be pre-installed. Open the Sunmi App Store, search for MyFoodFast POS (it may currently appear as POS), and tap Install. Then follow the steps below from Connect to the Internet. The POS runs on Android tablets in landscape — not phones.

🔌 First-Time Setup

  1. Unbox your Sunmi terminal
  • Make sure all accessories are included: terminal, power adapter, and any optional stands or mounts.
  1. Plug in and power on
  • Connect the power adapter and press the power button (long press for ~3 seconds).
  1. Wait for the device to load
  • After booting, the MyFoodFast POS app should automatically launch.

  • If it doesn’t load within 30 seconds, follow the steps in the Troubleshooting section below.

  1. Connect to the Internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet — Ethernet recommended for stability)
  • Wi-Fi: Tap the settings icon in the top right (⚙️) > Select Wi-Fi > choose your network > enter the password

  • Ethernet: Simply plug in an Ethernet cable — the POS will auto-connect and prefer wired over wireless when both are available

  1. Enter your store PIN
  • Once the POS app opens, you’ll be prompted to enter your 6-digit terminal PIN.

  • Generate the PIN in Back Office under Setup > In-Store > POS Terminals — click Add Terminal, and its PIN appears in the PIN column. See Set up MyFoodFast POS for the full registration steps.

🧪 Test Your Setup

Once connected to Wi-Fi and logged in with your PIN, the POS should:

  • Load the latest version of your menu

  • Be ready to accept orders and print receipts (if a printer is connected)

You can test by:

  • Placing a small test order

  • Verifying it appears in the Track screen

🛠️ Troubleshooting

  3. Tap to open the app manually
