Turning on Remote Assistance (Unattended Mode) on Your Sunmi POS
Purpose: Enabling Unattended Remote Assistance lets MyFoodFast Support access your terminal in seconds—no staff action required—so issues are fixed fast and service stays uninterrupted.
Who should use this guide?
Front‑of‑house or technical staff responsible for setting up or maintaining Sunmi terminals in your takeaway or dark kitchen.
Before you start
- Stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection on the terminal
- Sunmi terminal powered on (e.g. D3 PRO)
- Your MyFoodFast / Sunmi Partners account set up and the device already bound
Step‑by‑step: Enable Unattended Access
- Go to the home screen. Tap the Home button (the circle) in the black bar along the bottom. If the POS fills the whole screen (Full Screen Mode), swipe up from the bottom edge first to show the bar. If your power menu shows Exit Kiosk, your terminal is locked by Sunmi's own kiosk mode: tap Exit Kiosk and enter the kiosk PIN. Ask support if you don't have the PIN.
- Open Remote Assistance. Tap the Tool folder on the home screen, then Remote Assistance (a dark monitor with two blue arrows). You can also swipe up on the home screen to open the full app list.
- Turn on Unattend. Tap the Unattend switch so it turns orange, then wait 3–5 seconds and check it stays on.
- Check it's ready. Under the Remote Assistance title, the app says The connection is ready! Waiting for incoming calls…. The terminal's SN Number is shown below the switch; support may ask for it.
- Go back to the POS. Tap Home, swipe up to open the app list, and tap MyFoodFast POS.
The terminal is now remotely reachable from the Sunmi Partners portal.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Possible cause | Quick fix |
|---|---|---|
| Toggle flips back to OFF | Weak or no internet | Check Wi‑Fi; reboot router & device |
| Remote Assistance app not present | Old ROM or disabled in MDM | Update Sunmi OS; contact MyFoodFast support |
| The app doesn't say "The connection is ready" | Unattend is off, or no internet | Repeat the steps above |
FAQ
Is remote control secure? Yes. Connections are encrypted and logged. Only authorised MyFoodFast staff can access your device.
Will this interrupt orders? No. The remote service uses minimal bandwidth (about 10 KB/s).
Can I disable it later? Yes. Open Remote Assistance and switch Unattend off, but we recommend leaving it on for faster support.
