Customer notes on Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat orders

Last verified: 2026-07-23

What this covers

When a customer orders through Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Just Eat, they can add two kinds of notes:

  • Order notes — instructions for the whole order, for example "Please check order contents are correct".
  • Item notes — instructions attached to a single dish, for example "No tomato sauce, only cheese".

Both kinds arrive in your MyFoodFast system automatically with the order. This article explains where each one appears.

Where notes appear

On the kitchen receipt

All notes print in the notes section of the receipt:

  1. Order notes print first, exactly as the customer wrote them.
  2. If the delivery platform provides one, a contact access code for the courier prints next.
  3. Item notes print after that, with the dish name in front so your kitchen knows which line it belongs to — for example: Margherita: No tomato sauce, only cheese.

On the Kitchen Display (KDS) and MyFoodFast POS

Item notes are also attached directly to the dish itself, so the KDS and the MyFoodFast POS show the note on the item line it belongs to, as well as in the order notes.

In Back Office

Open the order from Reports > Sales Reports > Order History to see the order notes and each item's note.

Note: If the same dish appears twice in an order and only one of them has a note, the note is attached only to that line — check the dish name printed in front of the note.

Troubleshooting

  • A note is missing from the receipt — check the order on the Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Just Eat tablet or portal first. If the note is visible there but not on your receipt, contact support with the order number.
  • Notes appear but the courier access code doesn't — the access code is only sent by some platforms and only for some orders; if the platform doesn't send one, nothing prints.
