🚀 How to Install the MyOrderBox POS (Windows Only)

The MyOrderBox POS is a Windows-only application built using the .NET framework. This guide walks you through the installation process step by step.

🔗 Step 1: Open the Installation Page

From your Windows device, go to the official POS installation page:

💾 Step 2: Download the POS Installer

Click the "Download for Windows" button to download the installer.

Once downloaded, locate the .exe file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double-click it to begin installation.

🔐 Step 3: Install the Application

  1. Follow the on-screen instructions in the installer.

  2. If prompted by Windows Defender or any antivirus software, click "More Info" and then "Run Anyway" to proceed.

  3. Complete the installation process.

🔑 Step 4: Log in to Your POS

After installation:

  1. Launch the MyOrderBox POS from your desktop or start menu.

  2. Enter your MyOrderBox username and password to log in.

If you're unsure of your login credentials, contact your admin or support.

⚖️ Step 5: Configure Terminal Settings

Upon first login:

  1. Terminal setup is done from the Back Office. There's no need to configure the role or name within the POS app itself.

  2. Configure your printer and order settings.

These can be changed later via the backend dashboard if needed.

📌 Step 6: Pin to Taskbar and Enable Auto-Start

To make sure the POS is always easily accessible and runs automatically on startup:

Pin to Taskbar:

  1. Right-click the MyOrderBox POS icon on your desktop or in the Start menu.

  2. Select "Pin to taskbar".

Enable Auto-Start:

  1. Press Windows + R, type shell:startup, and press Enter. This opens the Startup folder.

  2. Copy the MyOrderBox POS shortcut into this folder.

This ensures the POS app launches automatically whenever the device is restarted.

✅ You’re Ready to Go!

Your POS is now set up and ready to take orders. It will automatically sync with your MyOrderBox system and display incoming orders in real time.
