Assigning orders to drivers is done from the Track screen on the POS. The driver must have an active shift before orders can be assigned to them.
Prerequisites
- The driver must have a started shift on the POS. See How do I start a driver shift? for instructions.
Assign an order to a driver
- On the POS, tap Track to open the delivery tracking screen.
- Identify the delivery order you want to assign. Unassigned orders will have an empty Driver column.
- Tap the order to select it. You can select multiple orders to assign them all to the same driver.
- Tap Assign Driver.
- Select the driver from the list of drivers with active shifts.
- Tap Assign Selected Driver to confirm.
Once assigned, the driver's initials will appear in the Driver column next to each order.
Reassign an order to a different driver
- On the Track screen, tap the order that is currently assigned.
- Tap Assign Driver.
- Select the new driver from the list.
- Tap Assign Selected Driver.
The driver column will update to show the new driver's initials.
Note: You can assign multiple delivery orders to a single driver at once by selecting several orders before tapping Assign Driver. This is useful for batching deliveries in the same area.
