Reporting on a single virtual brand

Last verified: 2026-09-21

Filtering the Operations report by virtual brand

If you run more than one brand out of the same kitchen, you can narrow the Operations report to a single brand and see that brand's trading on its own.

  1. Go to Reports > Sales Reports > Operations.
  2. Pick a date period at the top of the report (defaults to Today), or choose a custom range.
  3. Use the Virtual Brand filter to select a brand. The report reloads showing only that brand's orders.
  4. To go back to everything, set the filter to All Brands.

The filter applies to the whole report — customers served, sales summary, payments, tax, order sources, hourly sales, categories, discounts, charges, delivery times and failed orders all reflect only the selected brand.

It works whether you're at Company level (all your stores combined) or at Store level with a store selected in the switcher. The list of brands is the same either way, because virtual brands belong to your company rather than to an individual store.

Note: The Virtual Brand filter only appears if your company has more than one virtual brand. If you only have one, every order already belongs to it and there is nothing to filter.

Exporting a filtered report

The selected brand carries through to the Excel and PDF exports, and the brand name is printed under the report title so you can tell a filtered export apart from a full one.

Comparing brands over time

To see your brands side by side rather than one at a time:

  1. Go to Reports > Sales Reports > Sales by at Company level (no store selected in the switcher).
  2. Scroll to the Virtual Brands chart. Each brand is drawn as its own line.
  3. Use X-axis to change the grouping (day, week, month or year).
  4. Use the All Stores button at the top of the page to narrow the chart to one store or a handful of stores.

Note: Sales by is a company-level report, so it is hidden when you have a store selected in the store switcher. Clear the store selection to reach it, then use the All Stores button on the page to focus on a particular site.

Why a virtual brand might not appear

  • It took no orders in the period. Both the Operations filter list and the Sales by chart only show brands with completed, paid orders. Widen the date range.
  • You're looking at the wrong store. On the Sales by report, the All Stores button limits the chart to the stores you picked. A brand that only trades at another site won't be drawn.
  • The orders aren't complete. Unpaid, voided and in-progress orders are excluded from these reports, so a brand whose orders never completed won't show sales.

Note: A virtual brand does not need to be linked to a store under Setup > Online Ordering > Website & App > Virtual Brands in order to appear in these reports — the reports read the orders themselves. If a brand is missing from your menus or storefronts, that is a separate setup step; see Setup Guide: Virtual Brands.
