Prerequisites
POS and back office setup with existing menu
User Story
I want to add Vanilla(option value) gelato (options) to my Waffles (product) on the menu.
Back Office
Create an option

Management > Menu > Categories > Options
-
Click on +New option
-
Populate the New option fields

Now 'Save'

Select Menu > Option values

Click +New Option Value
-
Now complete option value settings. Select the option name it is attached to. (ie. Gelato)

Now 'Save'

Now to add option value to product,
-
Management > Menu > Products
-
Select the product you'd like to amend > Edit
-
On the 'Edit Product' screen, select the 'Options' tab.

Click on the '+' left of the Toppings[Screenshot needed]

Toggling the Default from Yes / No will set it as required.

Toggling the Substitute from Yes / No will allow the user to be able to substitute a default option to another like
Vanillaand replace it withStrawberryfree of charge. -
Click 'Update' to save changes.
To see default options on the POS
- If the default options are to appear on the POS order tab then
Back Office
Setup > POS > Receipts

- Click 'Update'
Finally
POS: Remember to Sync terminal in order to apply changes in back office
