Why does the cash drawer not open?

Prerequisites

  • Ensure the Cash Drawer is connected to your Printer
  1. Check that the cable of the Cash Drawer is connected directly to the printer. If using Epson TM20II, see image below

  1. Ensure 'Kick Cash drawer’ is selected to YES in POS Settings. This will enable it.

||| Ensure the Printer that the Cash Drawer is connected to is set as the Default printer in Windows.

Star Printers

  • Ensure in Devices and Printers that your Star printer is NOT shared
  • Ensure the printer is named "Star CP" or something similar as the name must start with the word "Star"
