USN (Unique Sequence Number) codes appear in your Order History when the Fiscal Printer feature is enabled on the POS. Fiscal printers are used in certain countries to generate government-mandated tax receipts, and each receipt is stamped with a unique sequence number for audit purposes.
If your store does not require fiscal printing, these codes are unnecessary and can be removed by disabling the feature.
What are USN codes?
- A USN is a sequential identifier assigned to each transaction by a fiscal printer.
- They appear as alphanumeric codes alongside orders in the Order History and in printed reports.
- They are only relevant if your country or region requires fiscal receipt compliance.
How to disable USN codes
- Open MyOrderBox POS on your terminal.
- Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Peripheral.
- Set Fiscal Printer to No.
- Confirm the change and return to the main screen.
Note: After disabling the fiscal printer, new orders will no longer display USN codes. Existing orders in your history will retain the codes they were originally assigned.
