This guide will walk you through setting up the Sunmi NT311 receipt printer via Ethernet on a Windows PC and configuring it within MyOrderBox POS.
Step 1: Perform a Self-Test to Get the Printer's IP Address
-
Make sure the printer is powered off.
-
Load paper into the printer.
-
Hold the Feed button.
-
While holding the Feed button, turn the printer on.
-
Once it starts printing, release the Feed button.
-
The self-test page will print — note the IP address shown on it.
Step 2: Ensure Printer and PC Are on the Same Network
-
Make sure both the Sunmi NT311 printer and the Windows PC are connected to the same LAN network (via Ethernet).
-
Test connectivity by opening Command Prompt on your PC and typing:
ping [printer_ip_address]
Example:
ping 192.168.1.36
If you receive replies, the devices are successfully connected.
Step 3: Download and Install the Driver
-
Download the latest version of the Sunmi Cloud Printer installer.
-
Run the installer. If you see an error like
MSVCP140.dll not found, install the Visual C++ Redistributable for your system (usually the x64 version). -
Complete the installation.

Step 5: Set Up the Printer in Windows
-
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
