If the on-screen keyboard on your POS terminal is too small, you can resize it using the built-in Windows tools.
Resize the Windows on-screen keyboard
- Open the on-screen keyboard by tapping the keyboard icon in the Windows taskbar. If the icon is not visible, right-click the taskbar and select Show touch keyboard button.
- Right-click (or long-press) the title bar at the top of the keyboard window.
- Select Size from the context menu.
- Click and drag any edge or corner of the keyboard to expand it to your preferred size.
Alternative: use Windows Ease of Access settings
- Open Windows Settings (press Win + I).
- Go to Ease of Access > Keyboard.
- Toggle Use the On-Screen Keyboard to On.
- The keyboard that opens from this setting can be repositioned and resized by dragging its edges.
Note: If you find the on-screen keyboard difficult to use for extended text entry, consider connecting a physical USB or Bluetooth keyboard to your POS terminal for faster input.
