How do I reset my POS terminals?

  1. Reset Terminal 

    Automatically in POS:

  • Go to Settings (Advanced Settings) > Reset Device > Reset this Device > Reset this Device Now

    Manually

  • Search
    • %LOCALAPPDATA%\MyOrderBox
    • For V2 it's %LOCALAPPDATA%\MyOrderBoxV2
  • Delete all Cache files  and the Settings file 
  1. Setup POS again.

How to reset database:

  1. Make sure that you have snipped the setting of the terminal before you proceed with the below.

2.Open This PC

3.Open Local Disk C

5.Open Microsoft SQL Server 

[Screenshot needed]6. Open MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER

7.Open MSSQL 

8.Open DATA

  • MyOrderBox 

-MyOrderBox_log

  1. Reset terminal

11.Connect Terminal to DB - the app will be restarted. 

In case you see this error:

-Open SQL management studio. If you see this, there is an issue:

-Open Services from the Admin Account stop the app and then start it:

  • Go back to SQL Management Studio and delete this: 

[Screenshot needed]

  • Reset terminal again

This should solve the issue. 

  1. Amend settings

  2. Make sure everything is as before.
