Opening Settings
Tap the gear at the right of the header. Sections are listed on the left: Peripherals, Printers, Kitchen, Terminal and Menu. A dot next to a section means something there needs attention: for example an amber dot on Printers means the customer receipt printer has not been chosen yet. Back to orders returns to the till. Settings reopens on the section you last used.
Note: Most settings are managed in Back Office and are shown here read-only, marked Managed in Back Office. Printer and card reader choices are the exception; they belong to this till and save as soon as you pick them.
Printers
There is one card for each printing job your terminal has: Customer receipts, Dispatch if enabled, one per label printer, and one per kitchen station.
- Tap Discover to scan the network for printers. On Android the scan runs only when you tap it.
- Pick the printer from the list. Printers that use a different connection show a small chip such as IPP or Sunmi.
- Tap Test print (or Print test label on a label card). The card shows Testing while it sends, then a message confirms the result.
The pill on each card tells you its state: Configured, Not configured, Testing, or Unreachable if the last test failed. If a printer is not found by the scan, tap Enter IP manually and type its address.
On a Sunmi till with a built-in printer, a green notice at the top of the section confirms it was detected.
Print history at the top right lists recent receipts and tickets for this till. Rows that did not reach a printer offer Retry this printer or Check and reprint; No print needed closes one you do not want to send again.
Peripherals
- Open drawer kicks the cash drawer attached to the customer printer.
- Kick cash drawer on payment and Print customer receipt show what Back Office has set for this till.
- Card reader lists the readers registered for the store. Choose the one this till presents card payments on. See Card readers for setup.
Kitchen
Shows whether kitchen printing, auto print, auto select and auto-firing of web orders are on for this till. If kitchen printing is off, the section says so; turn it on in Back Office under Terminals.
Terminal
- This terminal shows the store, till name, terminal ID, app version, the server the till talks to and when it last synced.
- Refresh from Back Office pulls the latest settings without leaving the screen. Finish any open order or payment first.
- Unpair terminal removes this till from the store. It asks you to confirm and then for a manager PIN. You need a new one-time PIN from Back Office to pair it again.
Menu
Refresh menu reloads the menu cache after you change items or prices in Back Office. The card shows when it was last refreshed on this till.
