Set up your WisePad 3 card reader with MyFoodFast POS
Connecting a WisePad 3 card reader to MyFoodFast POS lets you take card payments from customers directly on the POS. Follow these steps to get it paired and configured.
Note: The WisePad 3 is supported on Android devices only — the web version of MyFoodFast POS can't connect to a card reader.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
- A WisePad 3 card reader
- An Android device with the MyFoodFast POS app installed
- An active Stripe account connected in the MyFoodFast Back Office
Step-by-step guide
- Connect your Stripe account — In Back Office, go to Setup > Integrations > Stripe and connect your Stripe account. Once connected, the Connection Status shows Connected.

- Enable Stripe payments — In Back Office, go to Setup > In-Store > Payments and enable the Stripe payment option.
- Power on the WisePad 3 — Press the power button until the screen turns on. Make sure the battery is charged or the reader is connected to a power source.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device — On your Android device, turn on Bluetooth and confirm the device is discoverable.
- Open the MyFoodFast POS app — Launch the app, then tap the Terminal icon (with the red dot) next to the Settings icon. It starts the connection process and shows progress. The dot turns green once connected.
- Create an order and select payment type — Build your first order on the POS and select Stripe as the payment type.
Testing the connection
- Once paired, you'll see a confirmation message that the reader is connected, and the Bluetooth icon stops flashing on the reader.
- To test, create a sample transaction in the POS and confirm the card reader responds correctly.
Troubleshooting
- Connection issues: If the reader won't connect, make sure Bluetooth is enabled and the reader is within range. Restarting both the reader and the POS device can help.
- Reader not discoverable: Make sure the WisePad 3 is in pairing mode — press and hold the Bluetooth button until it shows as discoverable.
- Payment not going through: Check that your Stripe account is correctly configured and has no restrictions.
