Long orders continue across columns

When an order has more items than fit in a single column of the KDS screen — common on an Expo display, or for large orders with many toppings and options — the order card automatically continues into the next column instead of being cut off.

You will see:

  • The order's first card fills its column and shows continues ▸ at the bottom right.
  • The rest of the order appears in the next column under a compact header: the order number followed by · continued.
  • Very large orders may continue across more than two columns, or onto the next page.

Every item always stays visible — nothing is hidden or cut off, and you never need to scroll inside a card.

Working with a continued order

A continued order behaves exactly like a single card:

  1. Tap any item to change its status — it doesn't matter which card the item is on.
  2. Tap the header of any of the order's cards to advance the whole order at once.
  3. The progress count in the first card's header (for example 3/12) always counts the entire order, not just the items on that card.

Note: The "continued" card is part of the same order — it is not a separate order. Bumping from any of its cards updates the whole order.

If a card ever looks cut off

Order cards size themselves to their content, so a cut-off card should no longer occur. If you ever see one, refresh the display using the refresh button in the toolbar, and report it to support if it persists.
