Reset an AnyDesk ID

Last verified: 2026-03-06

If there is a cloned AnyDesk ID, you will need to reset it so a new ID can be generated.

  • Ensure Anydesk is completely closed: Right click on the Task Bar > Task Manager > All AnyDesk programs > End task
  • In Windows Search box type %programdata%\AnyDesk
  • Then delete the file  service.conf
  • Restart the Terminal so Windows restarts and open AnyDesk
  • The ID should change now

Share a picture of the new ID with Support.
