Linking your branded mobile app to your website

If you have a branded mobile app, you can link it to your online ordering website so visitors see a "Get the app" banner with download links for the App Store and Google Play.

Where to enter your app details

  1. Sign in to Back Office at Company level (no store selected in the store switcher).
  2. Go to Setup > Online Ordering > Website & App > Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Mobile App Links section.
  4. Fill in the fields that apply to your apps:
    • iOS App ID — the numeric ID of your app on the Apple App Store (for example 6739776692). You can find it in your app's App Store page address, after the letters "id".
    • Android App ID — your app's package name on Google Play (for example com.example.myapp). You can find it in your app's Play Store page address, after id=.
    • iOS App Store URL — the full web address of your app's App Store page.
    • Google Play URL — the full web address of your app's Play Store page.
  5. Click Save.

Note: These settings live at Company level because they apply to your whole website, not to an individual store. If the Website & App menu is not visible, make sure no store is selected in the store switcher at the top of the page.

What each field does

  • The iOS App ID and Android App ID power the "Get the app" banner shown to visitors on your website, and the Safari Smart App Banner on iPhones.
  • The App Store URL and Google Play URL are used when the mobile app asks a customer to update to a newer version.

Troubleshooting

  • The banner doesn't appear on my website. Check that the iOS App ID is the numeric ID (or full App Store address) and that the Android App ID is the package name. Values in any other format are ignored.
  • I can't find the Mobile App Links section under General Settings. This section moved. It used to be on the store-level General Settings page; it now lives at Company level under Setup > Online Ordering > Website & App > Settings.
  • The banner links to a page that doesn't exist. Double-check your app is still published on the relevant store, and that the ID matches the address of its store page exactly.
