When you attempt to copy a menu to Company level in the Back Office, you may encounter an error. This is almost always caused by one or more products that have not been assigned to a category.
Why this error occurs
The Company-level menu requires every product to belong to a category. If any product is left uncategorised, the copy operation fails and displays an error message.
How to fix it
- Log in to the Back Office.
- Navigate to Menu > Products.
- Sort or filter the product list to identify items without a category. Look for products where the Category column is blank.
- Click on each uncategorised product.
- Assign it to the appropriate Category from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for all uncategorised products.
- Once every product has a category, return to the menu copy screen and try copying the menu to Company again.
Note: If you have a large menu, use the Export feature to download your products as a spreadsheet. This makes it easier to spot products with missing categories in bulk.
