Ordering deals by phone with Voice Agent

How Voice Agent handles deals

Customers can ask Voice Agent about the deals currently available for delivery or collection. Voice Agent keeps the initial list short, then helps the customer complete the selected deal one choice at a time.

Customers can also ask for a deal by name. Voice Agent checks that name against the current deals before starting the choices. If the deal is no longer available, it explains this and offers the current choices instead of guessing.

For each deal, Voice Agent uses the same live menu information as your online ordering website. It only offers products, sizes and options that are linked to that specific deal line.

What the customer hears

  1. The customer asks about deals, offers, specials or promotions.
  2. Voice Agent reads a short selection of the available deals and their current prices.
  3. After the customer chooses a deal, Voice Agent can explain what is included.
  4. Voice Agent completes each required deal line in order, including any required size or option choices.
  5. If optional extras are available, Voice Agent asks whether the customer wants any.
  6. Voice Agent reads back the completed order and exact total before asking for confirmation.

The deal choices and final checkout summary are read directly from the saved selections. The customer must approve the summary before the deal is added or the order is placed. A subtotal and charge breakdown is available when the customer asks how the total was calculated.

A clear response such as “Yes, those deal choices are correct” approves the choices. Voice Agent then acknowledges the approval and adds the deal. If the customer corrects a choice, Voice Agent asks for approval again after updating it.

When asked for a price breakdown, Voice Agent names the delivery, processing, service or card charges recorded on the order, where applicable.

The initial spoken suggestions are only a short preview. Customers can ask for other eligible pizzas by name. After a successful checkout, Voice Agent reads the confirmed order reference and collection or delivery time.

Each pizza is checked against its own deal line, including when the customer chooses the same pizza twice. Available sizes and extras can differ between those lines.

Note: Voice Agent does not mention deals unless the customer asks about them.

Unavailable choices

If a customer asks for a product, size or option that is not included in the current deal line, Voice Agent explains that it is unavailable and offers eligible alternatives. The choices already made for other deal lines remain unchanged.

The deal is added to the basket only after every required line is complete. This prevents an unavailable choice from creating a partial or duplicate deal.

Keeping deal information accurate

Voice Agent reads deal availability, included products, sizes, options and prices from the live menu. When you change a deal in your menu management tools, the updated choices are used automatically after the short menu cache refreshes.

If callers report that a deal differs from your online menu:

  1. Check the deal and each deal line in your menu management tools.
  2. Confirm the product and size are enabled for the same order type the caller selected.
  3. Compare the deal with your online ordering website.
  4. Contact support with the call time, store and deal name if the difference continues.
