Online Ordering App deployed - What next?

Back Office

Setup Delivery Zones

This is required to enable delivery on the App ||| Customers will not be able to place delivery orders if the polygon zone is not completed. Setup Guide: Delivery Zones

Configure theme colours

The OLO app and website allow you to configure the colours as you like as often as you wish.

Company: Setup > Online  Ordering > Website > Setting > Mobile App - Colours You should choose a primary, secondary and tertiary colour and simply restart the app to see the colour changes.

Add URLs

In order to ensure current customers have knowledge of the app, it is recommended to add the app URLs in the back office so that if customers are emailed or sent a text message, a reminder to download the apps is sent.

  • iOS App URL
  • Android App URL

Shorten URL

Once the URLs have been located, we would recommend that the URLs are shortened in order to efficiently use the word count on SMS messages sent to customers.

Simply go to URL Shortener, add the URL to be shortened and click shorten url. Now copy shortened URL and add into the back office, Setup > Online  Ordering > General  Settings > iOS App Url / Android App Url.

Marketing the app

Now that everything is setup and ready to go, attention must be given to promoting the app to existing and new customers. 

  • You may wish to consider offering customers a coupon that they can redeem when placing an order on the app.

  • Emailing your customers using our Grow module to inform them about the app and the benefits of using it.

  • Reminding staff to inform customers that you now have an app.

  • Promote your mobile application on Social Media (Use shorten URL link to post)
