Setup Postcode Lookup

The steps are still correct, but the interface may look slightly different in the latest version.

Before you start

  • Only works if SQL server is installed on DBServer Terminal
  1. Go to the following site: http://www.postcodesoftware.co.uk/postcode-zone.htm
  • You will need to buy a license for each one of your stores.

  1. Select specific postcode areas on the map which are relevant to the areas you will be delivering to and these will be added to the basket.

  1. Select Buy Now once you have added the specific postcode areas

  1. Fill in the Order Form, ensuring that you have agreed the terms and conditions, and select Buy Now.

  1. You will then receive an email with the Activation Code presented in the green box

  1. Go to Step 9 if you have bought hardware [terminal(s)] from us as this would have been pre-configured. Otherwise, follow the steps below.
  • Go to your Terminal with computer name "DBserver"
  • Note only download the My Order Box Postcode Lookup UK file from: http://pluk.myorderboxhq.com on this terminal

  1.  Open file and select Run anyway

  1. Select Install

  1. Open Postcode Software Application, then enter the Activation Code received in the email (see Step 5)

  2. Go to the My Order Box Back Office > Setup > Add Ons > Postcode 

  • Select "PostCode Account" Yes 

  • Select "Use local DB" Yes 

  • Select Update

  1. Go back to the POS Terminal > Settings > Sync Now

  • If already downloaded beforehand & does not activate with the license key, uninstall the application and re-install & then add the license key. 

  • Setup > Add Ons > Postcode > Press "Update" 

  • Sync the POS
