How Voice Agent Confirms Delivery Addresses

For a new delivery address, Voice Agent asks the caller for their postcode first. It checks that the restaurant delivers to that area, finds the matching street, reads the street and town back, and then asks for the house or building number.

This keeps calls short and reduces errors caused by unclear street names over the phone.

What the Caller Hears

  1. Voice Agent asks for the delivery postcode.
  2. It checks whether the postcode is inside the restaurant's delivery area.
  3. It reads the matching street and town back to the caller.
  4. It asks for the house or building number.
  5. It reads the completed address back for confirmation.

If one postcode covers several streets, Voice Agent reads up to three matching streets and asks the caller to choose. It does not guess a street name.

Note: If the postcode cannot be matched, Voice Agent asks for the full street address and tries the existing address search. If the address still cannot be confirmed, it offers collection instead of placing a delivery order with an uncertain address.

Flats, Apartments, and Units

Callers can say details such as “Flat 2” or “Apartment B”. Voice Agent keeps that detail separate from the house or building number and reads the whole address back before continuing.

The confirmed address, including the flat or apartment, is sent with the order so it appears correctly for restaurant staff.

Delivery Area Checks

Voice Agent checks the postcode early so callers do not spend time building an order that cannot be delivered. After the house number is known, it checks the precise address location again.

Make sure your delivery areas and postcode settings are current in Back Office. See Getting Started with MyFoodFast Voice Agent for the main setup checklist.

The delivery minimum applies to the food subtotal. Delivery and other charges do not count towards it. If the order is below the minimum, Voice Agent explains how much more food is needed and offers adding items or switching to collection.

Optional free-delivery suggestion

If your delivery zone has a free-delivery threshold and the basket is below it, Voice Agent can offer the caller a chance to add more food before the final summary. It uses the saved delivery address and food amount after discounts; delivery and processing charges do not count towards the saving.

The suggestion is optional and is offered once. Declining continues checkout. Accepting lets the caller choose another item; nothing is added automatically. Voice Agent then checks the updated basket and reads the actual total for approval. A disabled threshold does not produce an offer.
